Master Badges
Master badges are the pinnacle achievement in NordJari — earned by completing all 6 concept months of a season type.
The two master badges

How master badges are awarded
Master badges are awarded automatically — you do not need to claim them. The system checks after every concept month completion:
- A concept month is marked
completed - The badge evaluator counts how many of the 6 concepts for that season type you have completed
- If the count reaches 6 → the master badge is created in your
UserBadgerecords
The 6th concept lock
The 6th concept (Drengr for Nord, Sakigake for Jari) is locked until you have completed the other 5. This is enforced both in the UI and on the server. You cannot start the 6th concept early.
The order within the first 5 is flexible — you can complete them in any sequence.
Display
Master badges are displayed differently from regular badges:
- Full width — spans the full badge grid row
- Gold border —

text-5xl - "Master Unlocked" label in gold when earned
- "Complete all 6 concepts" label in muted text when locked
Timeline
Because each concept month takes one calendar month, and you can only run one concept at a time, the fastest possible timeline for a master badge is 6 months — half a year of sustained commitment.
In practice, master badges span multiple seasons (e.g., Nord Q1 and Nord Q3 across two years).
